How to Build your Business in Less than 3 Hours by Having Fun? Adam Gilad Shares the Secret
One of the things I love about hosting, “I’m that Geek Show” is having the ability to pick the brains of the experts and asking them questions that people usually have to pay a lot of money to find out. Spending the time with Adam Gilad, creator of “The Higher Game” was no exception.
I really wanted to find out how an emmy-nominated producer, writer, and researcher became one of the top relationship and dating experts. It turns out that he did it by trying to figure out how to date himself. Adam discovered that...
People don’t know how to communicate with each other.
During his research, he found that there are 3 skills that are needed in order for people to initially be attracted to each other and then in turn want to stay together in a relationship.
These 3 skills are:
You have to know how to attract someone, how to stay connected and how to continually inspire each other so that you don’t get bored and want to move on to someone else and a new relationship.
When asked how he came up with the concept for creating, “The Higher Game.” He responded that it kinda came out of the blue, and asking people off the cuff, “Is anyone interested in personal development through transformational and interactive games?” Due to the large response, “The Higher Game” was born.
Take a look:
Adam had an interest in gamification and actually, the term coined by Jane Mcgonigal of “gameful engagement.” People these days are lonely. They spend so much time behind their computer screens and so by inviting them to come out and participate in game nights in their local community gives them the opportunity to interact and connect with people face to face.
If you are a business owner, coach, consultant that is interested in creating a local following and building a community, hosting interactive games nights are a great way to become known as the go to person. This gives people the opportunity to experience you, what you have to offer in person and they will then in turn, refer other people to you.
Play is very serious business.
Why does Adam recommend people come play and have fun, which in turn allows you to build your business in less than 3 hours a week? Play is very serious business. Play is a mode of learning and a way of being. Play is great for creativity, joy and fulfillment. We are actually a playful species. We learn through play. It’s not frivolous play, it’s skilled play. It’s a different mode for approaching your life.
Science and research have proven, when you play games, you change. Your brain functions differently. Games engage your natural curiosity. Curiosity causes happy hormones to flow and that allows you to search for positive outcomes. You become focused in new ways and bring new parts of your brain into action.
