During our interview on the “I’m That Geek Show” he shared with me a bunch of golden nuggets of how he was able to achieve this so quickly. There are 3 success secrets that really stood out that I feel are important to share as well…
Secret #1: Build Relationships! One of the major secrets to JB’s and ultimately Madwire’s and Marketing360’s success has been from building strong relationships with their clients and providing quality customer service. Finding out what problems potential clients had and becoming professional problem solvers has helped them know which types of services were needed.
Secret #2: Listen – JB is really good about listening to his clients and his team members to find out what’s working and what’s not. They have always been good at taking risks, identifying different opportunities and taking a chance. He likes to ask the question, “What’s the worst thing that could happen?” They give it a try and if it doesn’t work, they can always stop doing it and go in a different direction. But… what’s the Best Thing that can happen? Is that they are successful and they keep doing it.
Secret #3: Be Everywhere! One of the trends that JB has noticed and is becoming more and more prevalent, is the importance of being everywhere and on multiple channels. You need to identify where your customers and potential customers are hanging out and make sure that you are creating brand awareness and are top of mind by positioning yourself on the different channels. The challenge with this is that it can be very time consuming to do this properly. If you have the time to do it yourself, that is great. However, you may be better off hiring someone to do it for you. You don’t need to know how to do everything yourself.
